At Go By Rent a Car we take care of the data you entrust to us. This policy explains what data we collect, what we use it for, who we share it with and how you can exercise your rights, under Argentina’s Personal Data Protection Law No. 25,326.

1.Who is responsible for your data
The database is controlled by Destino Andino S.R.L. (CUIT 30-71436242-5), owner of the Go By Rent a Car brand, located at Av. San Martín 555, local 2, (8370) San Martín de los Andes, Neuquén, Argentina.

2.What data we collect
When you book:
- Full name, ID or passport number and date of birth.
- Email, phone, country and address.
- Your driving license details: number, expiry date and category.
- Flight numbers, if you provide them, and the details of any additional drivers.
- Your booking details: dates, pick-up and return locations, vehicle and extras.
If you start a booking and do not finish it, we keep the data you entered up to the driver step: name, email, phone, dates and chosen vehicle.
If you pay online, your card or account details are processed directly by the payment platform (Aloha Pay): Go By does not see or store them. We record the amount, date and status of the payment. If you pay by bank transfer, we keep the receipt you send us.
When you browse the site, Google Analytics records usage data that does not identify you: pages visited, device type, approximate country or city and how you reached the site.
3.What we use it for
- Managing your booking, preparing the rental agreement and handing over the vehicle.
- Checking the rental requirements, such as age and driving license.
- Sending you the confirmation, the voucher and payment notices.
- Sending you a single reminder if you left a booking unfinished.
- Asking you for a review after you return the car.
- Handling questions, complaints and accidents.
- Complying with legal, accounting and tax obligations.
- Improving the site based on usage statistics.
We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
To provide the service we work with hosting, email, payment and analytics providers that process data on our behalf, some of them outside Argentina. By booking, you consent to that transfer.
5.How long we keep it
Booking data is kept for the duration of the rental and afterwards for the periods required by accounting, tax and consumer protection rules.
Data from an unfinished booking is used for a single reminder and deleted when you complete a booking with the same email. You can ask us to delete it sooner.
6.Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to the data is restricted to the Go By staff who need it to handle your booking.
7.Your rights
You can ask us at any time to access, correct, update or delete your data. Write to reservas@goby.com.ar from the email you used to book, or include your ID number. We answer access requests within 10 calendar days, and correction or deletion requests within 5 business days.
If you do not want to receive the unfinished-booking reminder or the review request, let us know and we will remove you from those emails.
The data subject has the right to access their personal data free of charge at intervals of no less than six months, unless a legitimate interest is proven, as set forth in Article 14, section 3 of Law No. 25,326. The AGENCIA DE ACCESO A LA INFORMACIÓN PÚBLICA (Access to Public Information Agency), as the supervisory authority of Law No. 25,326, is empowered to handle complaints filed by anyone whose rights are affected by non-compliance with personal data protection rules.
8.Minors
Our service is for people aged 21 and over. We do not collect data from minors.
9.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is the one published on this page, with its update date.
